Beans (forever name Beni)
Beans was rescued from a local shelter who had picked him up as a stray. He was approximately 9 months old when we rescued him and was infested with fleas! Unfortunately. Beans is allergic to fleas so he had some hair loss, but once treated his hair returned and he was looking good for adoption (Beans will need to be religiously kept on flea preventative to make sure this doesn't happen to him again)! Weighing in at well over 100 pounds at the time of his adoption, Beans is a total lover boy who walks well on a leash and gets along with all dogs (big and small), cats, and everybody he meets. Congratulations to the Geller family for adopting Beans! We wish you a lifetime of health and happiness together.

Beans had an exciting and exhausting day. He enjoyed the car ride with us and got along very well with Tilly, which means she pretty much left him alone and is reserving judgment. When we got home, he explored the entire property, circling twice and checking everything out. He was very curious and didnt miss a thing. He dis the same inside the house, and seems satisfied with his new pad. We found out he lights up at dinner time, and gobbled down his food. He started exploring the kitchen counters while we were eating, but totally listened when we corrected him. We are enjoying the sound of dog slobber once again as he drinks from his bowl. That sound is music to our ears! Despite his size, he is still very much the playful puppy, and loves napping. My son's friend came home from college, and came over, pounding on our door. Beans slept through his whole visit. He is super loveable and just demands to have his belly rubbed. He is a love bug. Wish us well for tonite... Not sure where he has decided to sleep!!!! Thank you for all you do! Talk to you soon.

Beans is inquisitive, intelligent, and a love. He's learning that car rides are for fun, leashes mean fun, and dad's shoes are not toys. He has charmed all the neighborhood college kids home for the holiday, and has been dubbed the "coolest dog ever." We are the luckiest family ever!
I'm learning that St. Bernards are the rock stars of the doggy world. Took Beans to the Irvine Spectrum today, and within seconds, people were shouting, "I love your dog," circling around and petting him. He just laid down and rolled over on his back, loving every second of it. This week has been wonderful… Beans has settled in and bonded with every member of our family, learned to walk very well on a leash, learned the command "sit," and not to jump on the kitchen counter. He is very loving, well behaved and attentive. My son, home from college, said, "What more could we ask for?" Thank you Sunny Saints for rescuing him!
