Betty Boop
Betty Boop was rescued from a local shelter where she was an unclaimed stray. She is estimated at 2 years old and weighs 145#. She is a very well-bred Saint that looks as though she could have come from a show breeder, but was, unfortunately not microchipped, so now finds herself in rescue. Betty Boop thinks that she's a lap dog and if you sit on the floor, she will be in your lap! She knows her commands for sit and down and is working on stay in her foster home. She is housebroken and uses a doggy door to go outside to do her business. She gets excited on a walk, but corrects easily from pulling with the use of a pinch collar. She has learned to sit at the curb before crossing the street and to sit as other dogs and people walk past her. She has met dogs big and small and made them her friends. She does sometimes need a slow approach from strangers, both adult and children, but once she is allowed to smell and warm up to them, she is leaning in for their attention.
