Bubba
Bubba was 5 years old when his human Dad had to relocate to the East coast and couldn’t take him along. Bubba’s owner had Bubba since he was a tiny puppy and wanted to make sure that Bubba would find a good home and the love he deserves so he contacted Sunny Saints for help. Bubba was a good sized boy weighing in at approximately 140 pounds and has the gentle disposition that Saints are known for. He loves all people, gets along well with other dogs and even likes cats. He's good in the car and enjoys long walks, but especially loves backing up and sitting on your lap while you're watching TV! Jessica, Alex, and Wally Berger (Bubba’s new Saint Bernard brother) were the lucky ones to adopt Bubba and we wish them a lifetime of happiness together!

We have all gotten into a nice routine every day. This is right after our morning walk... pretty tired! We usually wake up nice and early and eat breakfast, take a rest (so our tummies don't get upset), go for a family walk together, take a nice lonnnng nap, play outside during the day, eat a good dinner, then relax in the evening by playing with some toys and watching some TV (with very heavy eyes!) Bubba loves belly rubs in the morning and especially loves his walks! He and Wally are always by each others side. As you can see in the photo, even though Bubba has a bed, he prefers the floor or carpet... and near Wally! We are enjoying each day and feel very lucky :)

Bubba has made our home complete. We can't imagine life without him, and we are thankful more than words can describe to have him in our lives! (Thank you Sunny Saints!!!) Bubba took role of 'big brother' to our puppy Wally in no time, and they have become best friends - completely inseparable. Bubba loves his daily routine of walking, napping, playing, eating, tug-of-war with Wally, snuggling with mom, belly rubs from dad, and loves meeting new friends. He has his funny quirks - he prefers a little cottage cheese in his food, he loves fire trucks (we live across from a fire station and he races to the window wagging his tail when he hears sirens), he gives his leash a nudge and does a circle in front of the door when he wants a walk, and he sleeps as close to the bed as possible to be the first one up when mom or dad wake up. Bubba is such a gentle and sensitive sweetheart, who appreciates lots of love, and gives lots of love!
Attached are a few photos, the one of Bubba and Wally napping on the floor (holding paws) was taken just after we got Bubba. I think he knew very quickly he was in his forever home filled with love! And Wally sure was and is happy to have a big brother. They have been attached ever since, one of their favorite games is tug of war as shown in photo, and of course, he loves his relaxing time. We can't thank you enough!

Dear Sunny Saints,
Today is my one year anniversary in my forever home! I got sleepy trying to find the right words to thank you, so I'm talking my 10th today :) But, before I snuggled up on my favorite bed, I told my mama and papa that you give us big guys (and gals!) something that no amount of money in the world can buy - a second chance at life, and a life filled with nothing but love. I will always be grateful. My mama, papa, and little brother Wally agree, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts :) I send my biggest slobbery kiss and hugs.
Love,
Bubba Berger
