Buster (forever name Romeo)
Sunny Saints rescued Buster from a shelter in Northern California. When he first came into foster care he was a little hand shy, but once he realized that you weren’t going to hit him, he enjoyed being loved on (Buster would run to the far side of the yard whenever he saw a family member with a broom, shovel, or pooper scooper so it is believed that Buster had been abused in the past). Buster was also very neglected as his skin was not in the best condition and he smelled horrible! He had a bad scabby rash on several parts of his body and his fur was horribly matted. He would flinch when his foster mom would try and touch him (he was frightened and his sores hurt him) but he never left her side and would follow her everywhere she went from the moment that she brought him home. It took Buster a few days to get used to his foster home, the other resident dogs, and children but once he did he enjoyed the children’s company and loved to play with the other dogs (of all sizes). With patience, therapeutic baths, warm compresses and love, Buster began to heal and gain confidence in his new surroundings and when Patti Nugent was introduced to Buster she just knew he would be the perfect fit for her. Congratulations to Patti on your adoption of Buster! We wish you a lifetime of health and happiness together!
