Cinnamon (forever name Zelda)
Cinnamon is our little Spice Girl! Sugar and spice and everything nice! She is a playful, loving, aim-to-please 6 to 8 month old Saint Bernard mix puppy that looks like a miniature Saint Bernard. She wants to be wherever you are whether that's in the car or watching TV. She walks very well on the leash and gets along great with all dogs, big and small and enjoys spending time at the dog park playing with them all. She does not show much interest in toys unless she is playing tug-o-war with another dog and loves to play that game with a 200 pound Mastiff in her foster home! She is such a sweetheart and joy to be around, but does not like taking baths. She is working on her housetraining and does well if being watched for signs that she needs to go out, but still may have accidents if she isn't closely supervised. She has your typical Saint characteristics, just in a much smaller package (roughly 45 pounds at this time). She does well with kids but due to her puppy enthursiasm may knock little ones down. Please join us in congratulating Kays, Sarah and Halo on their adoption of our Cinnamon girl! May you live many happy years with your new family!

Update: January 6, 2013
A little update on Zelda. She's doing quite well and has become acclimated with her new surroundings. She's still having some nightmares at night, but they seem to be getting milder as time goes by. She's been very eager to imitate her older sister Halo, even when it comes to jumping down our planters which might be a bit too high for her. Doing so has resulted in Zelda spraining a foot, we're taking her to the vet tomorrow just to make sure, but she's already back up to full speed and not limping anymore.
Zelda's been getting better with the potty training, even though she occasionally still has some accidents around the house, but they seem to be getting less and less. She's very clever and has been able to climb up to places we didn't expect her to and grab treats and various objects… we've had to step up our dog-proofing when we leave the house.
Lastly, she's quite food-motivated which is actually a welcome change from Halo who is extremely picky about what she eats. Zelda seems to be more than eager to eat all sorts of treats, sometimes even the ones that Halo unwisely leaves behind unattended.
Here are a couple of photos I took in the past few days… feel free to share with the rest of the Sunny Saints members.
