Cocoa (forever name Coco)
2 year old dry-mouth, Cocoa came to us from a very nice local animal control officer that didn't want to see this sweet girl go into the shelter system when her owner surrendered her, so she contacted Sunny Saints right away and signed her directly over to us.
She's a very obedient girl who knows her commands and is very mellow for her age. She is spayed and current on all her vaccinations and gets along well with other dogs. She lived with children ranging in age from 1 to 12 years and was very gentle and loving with them. Unlike most girls, Cocoa is not a fan of getting a pedicure, but it can be done with patience!
Just a couple of days before, Louise had contacted Sunny Saints to talk about the possibility of fostering one of our dogs because she had recently lost her Saintly companion. She wasn't sure she was ready to adopt yet, but hated that her condo felt so empty without a Saint. Her home check was completed the day before we got the call about Cocoa so we called Louise and asked her if she would be able to pick Cocoa up directly from the officer at animal control and she gladly did. Cocoa went home with Louise that day and it wasn't long before Louise knew that yes, in fact, she was ready to adopt! Coco (as in Chanel) is now her name and she and Louise are very happy together. Coco enjoys it when Louise's granddaughter comes to visit (see photo).
