Daisy (adoption pending)
Note: Daisy has recently been placed in a forever home and this adoption will become final soon.
7 year old Daisy is looking for a REAL forever home. She was originally surrendered to us when her former owner passed away after a prolonged illness. She was adopted to a family late last year, but recently we were contacted by Animal Control letting us know that Daisy was picked up as a stray. When the adopter was contacted they said they were in military training in another state and had given Daisy to another family before they left which is not allowed under our adoption contract. We reclaimed Daisy who again was in a very neglected state, but her wonderful personality was not affected by the ordeal and she's being loved in a foster home. She has had ear infection problems most of her life caused by food allergies and will need to be kept on a strict no poultry and no grain diet to help combat this. Her hearing has been severely affected by this, so you need to know that she's not going to hear a lot of things. She also had 11 teeth removed when she first came to us because they were in such bad shape that they were painful for her to eat. She will always have a lolling tongue, but it just makes her look that much cuter. She is an absolute love bug that gets along well with anyone that she meets. She does well with cats and most other dogs both large and small, Daisy weighs approximately 145 pounds.. She is housebroken as long as there is easy access to outside (an open door or doggy door) for her potty needs. If you're looking for unconditional love, cuddles, hugs and to rub a very willing belly, Daisy is your dog!
