Duke
Duke, a 2 year old smooth coat male Saint Bernard was rescued from a local shelter where he spent nearly a month as “evidence” in a case against his former owner for possible animal neglect. While at the shelter Duke recovered from a laceration to his right rear hock that was surgically repaired by shelter vets and he was very thin when he was finally cleared to be introduced to his Sunny Saints foster family. It didn’t take long for his foster family to help him to put on some much needed weight and for all of us to recognize what a sweet, loving boy he is, eager to learn and hold your hand with his paw. Fortunately for Duke (and us) it didn’t take long for the Galante family to adopt Duke.
