Emma
Emma was just under a year old when she came to Sunny Saints as an owner surrender. With the help of Emma’s neighbor, Emma was brought to the Downey Dog Park so that Sunny Saints could evaluate her and needless to say she did great with all of the dogs at the park (big and small). In fact, when two other dogs got into a fight, she was reluctant to go anywhere near them, preferring instead to play chase around the park with another Sunny Saint. Emma was already a big girl (with really huge feet) when she came into foster care (she was even 10 pounds underweight, weighing in at 110 pounds, so we expect her to be a large Saint when she grows up) and had a lot of wiggle butt puppy enthusiasm! Emma doesn’t do well with children so we concentrated on placing her in an adult home or a home with teenaged children. Emma worked with her foster family to learn her house manners and she proved herself to be a quick learner by successfully working through her leash training, understanding/navigating stairs, and learning sit and down in a very short period of time. Emma is always eager to please and bonds easily with anyone who will give her love and attention. When Tim and Candy McGlade met Emma there was no doubt that she was finally going “home” and we welcomed the McGlade’s to the Sunny Saints family with open arms! Congratulations Tim and Candy on your adoption of Emma!
