Heidi (adoption pending)
Note: Heidi has recently been placed in a forever home and this adoption will become final soon.
Heidi is a 12 month old, 85 pound ball of love! She has been socialized with dogs of all sizes, cats, children, and even a few rodents, and she loves them all. She is a very curious puppy, a good listener, and picks up commands relatively quickly. Heidi is also completely house broken, crate trained, and does well on a leash.
Unfortunately she was born with hip dysplasia, which causes her to round her back and favor her front legs, and surgery likely won’t do anything to help her. Instead, she takes supplements everyday and will need to stay lean and strong to compensate for the bone degeneration in her hips. On a day to day basis it doesn’t phase her at all - she is a very happy girl, does fine with stairs, and goes on long walks - but building up the muscle in her back legs will help her grow strong and healthy into adulthood.
Heidi is such a sweet girl. She always has a smile on her face and one of her favorite things to do, other than running around in the rain and drinking puddles, is holding hands. She will fit in great in most environments, especially if she has other animals to play with or a human to snuggle!
