Jerry (forever name Buford)
Sunny Saints rescued Jerry from a high-kill shelter that came in as a stray that went unclaimed. This long hair male does great with other dogs. He is very nonreactive when other dogs act aggressively toward him. He just stands there looking at them as if to say, "What did I do?". The Maltby Family adopted Jerry, but the official adoption photo will be coming soon, but we have photos of his ride home and settling into his furever home. Congratulations to the Maltby Family and welcome to the Sunny Saints Family!

Today we took Buford out for his first hike. We kept it short and went while the kids were in school. Buford looked worried on the drive back there. But, he got over that quickly. Oh my...THE SMELLS!!! Obviously he has never been out in a place like this. Luckily Mike's arm is still attached to his shoulder, lol! Buford was trying to do good on the leash, but ALL THOSE SMELLS! Once he started to get a little tired, those command things started to sound familier again, and the walk back was much easier on Mike's arm.
I'm sending some pictures. Sorry there are so many, but I can't decide which one's I like better. Funny, he didn't seem to mind posing for me. Well... smells in the air, I think helped to! Down in that little valley behind Mike and Buford, is where we live. Depending on the spot we choose, its only 1/2 to 1 mile from our house.
I've taken Buford in to weigh him two more times since the last we spoke. His third weigh-in he was up to 132 and he is now up to 138.4 as of Wed. the 13th. He is slowly but steadily gaining weight and building some nice muscle too.
