Kenzy (forever name Elsa)
This approximately 12 week old Saint came into rescue weighing only 12 pounds and needing life-saving, emergency abdominal surgery to remove foreign objects that she had ingested. Among many objects found were broken Christmas lights which had perforated her intestine, causing intestinal fluids to fill her abdominal cavity. The surgeon who performed the procedure didn't give her much of a chance of survival, but she beat the odds and became the Christmas Miracle Puppy when the doctor proclaimed that she would make a full and complete recovery with no lasting effects of this ordeal! A week after surgery, she is up to 12 1/2 pounds (still less than half of the weight she should be), and is the happiest, sweetest puppy you could possibly ever want to meet. The lucky family who is chosen to adopt this sweet pup will be in a foster-to-adopt position until such time as the vet feels it is the right time to spay her.
