Kima
Kima is a sweet, petite (90 pounds), almost 2 year old girl with beautiful black markings around her eyes that make her look like a panda bear. She is an owner surrender to Sunny Saints because they no longer could spend as much time with her as they thought she deserved. She is housebroken, up-to-date on shots, microchipped and spayed. She had fly strikes on her nose and one ear, but they are healing up nicely as you can see in the photos. Kima loves to play tug-o-war with people, has a favorite ball and LOVES belly rubs! She gets along with other dogs in her foster home, both large and small. She is curious of dog tolerant cats, but not aggressive toward them. She loves to go for walks and knows her basic obedience commands, but it is suggested that her new owners take her to obedience class, just to expand on her knowledge and to cement their bond. Kima's foster parents noticed that she was limping for several days, so we had x-rays taken to see if she had hurt herself playing with her foster brother Saint and it was discovered that she has hip dysplasia on one side. Kima has been started on joint supplements and will need to stay on those for the rest of her life, and in later years could require additional drug maintenance or surgery.
