Lola
Lola was saved from a shelter where her previous owners surrendered her after years of backyard breeding. She most likely spent all of her time in a cage and had the wounds and scars to prove it. After being rescued by Sunny Saints, she spent the first couple of months in her foster home learning how to get along with others, as she was very dominant and aggressive toward other dogs. She had no manners and wasn't interested in meeting any new people, in fact she didn't like too many people. Let's just say she needed a lot of rehabilitation...her foster parents worked with her for several months attempting to guide her to become the family dog they knew that she had the potential to become. Her foster mom started to grow very attached to her and Lola developed a bond of trust, respect and love for her. Her rehab took many months until finally we felt she was ready to be adopted to a forever home. However her foster family had grown to love her and they had become inseparable. After 6 months in her foster home, she had made a complete transformation into the lovebug she is today. She definitely earned a spot in the Roderick home, there is no way they could ever let her go. On Christmas day, Lola was given the gift of her forever home with the Rodericks. She is blessed with sister and brother basset hounds, a little brother cockapoo who she absolutely adores and a mommy and daddy that wouldn't trade her for anything. Welcome to the family Lola!
