We currently have 3 dogs, a beautiful Golden Retriever named Chelsey and our two gorgeous Saints, Sam and Ellie. Fostering Saints came naturally to us after losing our first Saint, Hannah, who we rescued from a local shelter a few years ago. When Sunny Saints gave us the opportunity to Foster a Saint in our own home we viewed it as our opportunity to honor the memory of Hannah by helping to prepare other Saints to transition into their forever homes as well as to share the love that we experienced with Hannah. Sam was the first Saint that we fostered for Sunny Saints and we decided almost immediately that he had already found his forever home with us (and he is living his “golden years” under our care). Following the adoption of Sam we have continued to foster dogs for Sunny Saints because there is nothing quite like helping a dog in need to feel loved, wanted, and secure while they wait to find their forever home.
