Deciding to foster was an easy choice. I wanted to open my home and heart to a homeless dog in need. Having grown up with animals, I feel that having a dog completes my household. I have 2 "resident dogs" that I adopted from a shelter years ago and I knew that expanding my fur family, if only for a short while, would be a blessing for all of us.
When I met the Sunny Saints organizers, I knew instantly I wanted to help foster a Saint Bernard. My experience has been that of gratitude! What a wonderful experience (and educational at times) it has been. Having the opportunity to provide a loving, yet structured home environment to a dog in need while they transition into their forever home is a gift. I hope my time with my foster dog gives them a sense of comfort and "belonging to a pack". Fostering a rescue dog has been a rewarding experience. I see it as a gift to both the dog and myself! Our lives forever changed.
Happy to be a part of the Sunny Saints family!
