Molly (adoption pending)
Molly is a senior gal at 9 years old. She is a petite Saint at 108 lbs. which is an ideal weight for her –anything more is too hard on her senior joints. She LOVES scratches, petting, snuggles and kisses. Being the lady that she is, Molly often lays with her front legs crossed – adding to her charm. Molly sleeps a lot, and LOVES having the a/c or fan on her to keep her comfortable. Molly is housebroken and stands at the back door when she needs to potty. She has never had an accident indoors. She would rather hold her bladder and eat first thing in the morning before going potty. She is also is a dry-mouth Saint! She has lived with big and small dogs, and does well with both once she gets to know them. She was tested with a neighbor’s cat that visits regularly and she is fine with them, too.
Molly has a scar on her nose from old unknown damage, which causes the skin to stretch and split sometimes, so skin maintenance of her nose (Vitamin E) will be necessary. She is also hearing impaired and likely won’t hear you approaching. But she doesn't startle and responds to being awakened with flops of her tail.
She has limited mobility and has difficulty rising, so she needs a home with carpet or rugs for gripping. Molly is content with short walks, but due to her arthritis, walks need to be limited to keep her from overdoing it. Adopters should be prepared to continue daily joint supplements and quality food to support her senior health needs. She would do best in a home without small children.
Molly is an absolute sweetheart that just needs a family that is understanding of her slow mobility. If that sounds like you, send in an application for her today!
