Nacho Villa
Nacho was rescued off the streets of Ensenada, Mexico where he had been living since being kicked to the curb because he wasn't aggressive enough to be a guard dog at a local shop. He's a very sweet, approximately 4 year old boy and even though was extremely thin when we got him, never once had any food aggression issues with people or other dogs. He gained 25 pounds (could stand to gain another 25), was neutered and stole the hearts of everyone that met him. He's good with other friendly large dogs but will protect himself if aggressed against. He's non-reactive to cats and small dogs. He has absolutely no desire to ever live on the streets alone again and will not try to escape from home. As he gained weight, he also gained energy and went from a mellow, somewhat lethargic dog, to a playful pup! He needs work on being mouthy in play and jumping up on you, so better in a home without small children at this time. He loves playing with stuffies, but never destroys them. He'll just carry them around in his mouth and when presented with several will hide them in the yard and choose one at a time to play with.
