Penny Lane

Penny Lane was an unclaimed stray that found herself in a high-kill shelter in northern California before becoming a Sunny Saint. She is estimated at less than a year old, but has already had a litter of puppies. She is a sweet girl that loves attention and belly rubs and does well with all the people that she's met and especially loves children! She is frightened and nervous around other animals and will hide from them until she knows that they aren't going to hurt her. The perfect situation for Penny Lane would be with a strong leader who can show her how great life can be, someone who is retired or works from home so she can have human companionship most of the time as she doesn't like being left alone. If there are other pets in the home, it would be best if it were an older, mellow dog or cat that doesn't push her to interact right away. Once she gets comfortable in the home, she loves to run and romp! She's good on the leash, and loves long walks and exploring so would make a great hiking partner! She is smart and has already learned "heel" and "sit", rides well in the car and is working on her indoor manners and is completely housebroken.
