Samson
Samson is believed to be a Saint Bernard / Great Pyreneese mix. He weighs approximately 80 pounds and is a happy boy with a constantly wagging tail and is fairly high energy for nearly 4 years old. He would make a great hiking partner but is also completely trustworthy in the house and loves to lounge around on the couch and watch TV, so can chill out well too! Samson likes all people, big and little alike. He gets along fine with cats, but we notice that he is very nervous around other dogs (emits low growls and trembles) when not actually on a walk together, so may do better as an only dog, or with a family that can slowly introduce him to the other dog/s in the home. He easily becomes attached to new people, so we feel that his transition from his foster to a forever home will be an easy one for him. He has not been a picky eater and will happily eat his kibble at every meal without your having to get creative. He knows some basic obedience (sit, down and leave it) and is getting better on the leash, but can still use a little work on both. Samson has a small cyst on the top of his head that we have had evaluated by the vet who recommends leaving it alone.
