Shenk family
We love this big sweet breed. We thought about owning a Saint since I had them as a child. I remembered how gentle and kind they were... and I remembered the drool. I wanted to be sure we weren't going to regret our decision. Fostering seemed like a good way to try one out. Well, we fell in love with our first dog. What we learned is that they are not a breed for the faint hearted. They shed a lot and yes, they do drool. However, there is not a more loyal or sweeter dog out there. Fostering has given us the opportunity to save dogs lives. It teaches the children that they can help even if just by giving a belly rub! Sure, the kids ask if we're keeping this one. They talk about the dogs we've fostered. They remember the stories, but they always end by commenting that the dogs now have their own forever families. It's a win-win situation for all of us!
