Sunny Saints supporter Erin Val Alstine lost her beloved Zoey much too soon.

We found Zoey through a rescue friend on facebook. We weren’t looking for a dog at the time as we were mourning the loss of our departed Hope only the month before. Yet for days I kept going back to look at her sweet face and read her story. At three months old she had been malnourished, abused and left to be attacked by another dog resulting in a gash under right eye. I remembered how much I loved Hope and knew I could open my heart to love this sweet girl. We picked her up four days later.

She was the perfect fit for our family.  My girls adored her and she them. She was the epitome of unconditional love. 
 
Sadly, in a tragic accident Zoey was killed and her death has left a void so big in our lives. Her love for us will live forever in our hearts and minds. 
 
We loved you at first sight and continue to love you still.
