Quincy
Quincy was approximately 1 year old when he was found wandering the streets of Compton, CA with another 1 year old Saint Bernard we named Queenie. Sunny Saints advertised them both as “Found” for 2 weeks and when the owners never came forward we made them official “Sunny Saints” and listed them for adoption. When we first got Quincy (named after Mr. Magoo), he had severe entropion (curling in of his eyelids) and was unable to see, therefore depending upon Queenie to be his seeing eye dog. Quincy also had a pronounced limp which was originally diagnosed as arthritis and then later discovered to be two hairline fractures that only needed time and inactivity to heal (rather than daily arthritis medication). After undergoing the expensive surgery to save his eyesight, Quincy's new found independence allowed for us to let Queenie be adopted (independent of Quincy) and while he was recovering at his foster home his foster parents worked with him on his indoor manners. Quincy is a very sweet and loving pup that thrives on getting and giving love. He gets along great with all other dogs and loves children and is happily excited (never aggressive) every time he's fed (we believe that food may have always been in short supply for him). We are happy to announce that the Daws family has adopted Quincy and we wish them a lifetime of health and happiness together.
