Sunny (forever name Jo)
Sunny (now named “Jo”) was approximately 6 years old when she came to Sunny Saints from another rescue group who had gotten her out of a Central California shelter where she was picked up as a stray. She's a very sweet and mellow girl who hadn't had a family to love her in quite awhile and was very, very thin. When found, she was filthy and matted (as you can see in the "before" picture) so once at her foster home with Elizabeth, she took her to have a much needed full grooming and shave down to a summer cut to get all the mats off of her and give her a fresh start on a new life. Chelsey Fletcher saw Jo on our web site and took one look at her soft and gentle eyes and knew she was going to be the one to provide her with the care and love that she deserves for a lifetime! Chelsey and her family had previously lived on the East Coast where she volunteered with a Saint Bernard rescue group there and is a trained dog behaviorist, specializing in this breed.

We are sad to report that Jo has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She was loved by her forever family and we share their grief of her loss.
